Under Story Productions has been the video production partner in some collaborative projects with other producers.

The comedy web series Sex Hair was a joint project in which USP produced four episodes as well as the music video above. For this project we received pre written scripts from the writing team. We then proceeded to formulate shot lists, story boards, conduct location scouting and many other prep procedures. The field crew consisted of a director, assistant director, and director of Photography.

Each episode spent about 10 hours of taping in one day and we did two episodes a week with a few scenes completed on the following weekends. The episodes we worked on have all completed taping and are in the editing phase but will be released soon.

 

A behind the scenes look on the Sex Hair set

Sound Wave is an amazing under water musical play written by and produced by Olive DelSol. Under Story Productions was asked to record it and edit down a mixed camera edit. We first came to an early performance and tape a review copy to study the timing and stage movements. We then drew up a plan of attack for optimal camera placements and camera moves (pans, zooms) coordinated with the action. We then taped two performances and dubbed them to the audio of one performance. The effect is pretty amazing. We then edited down both perfomances into one and created a trailer for promotion.
