The Dead Americans music video Cryin' Sunshine

Music Videos for Northwest bands have been a big part of what we do at Under Story Productions.

We have used music videos as scenes in our films such as A Year in the Streets. The Intro to this film is a good example of a tightly edited piece. We combined an awesome driving song from Christ On a Crutch with intense imagery from street demos throughout the US and abroad. You can view the piece here.

Guerrilla Video Primer starts with an into scene that has a sound track by Chumbawamba. It also has action packed imagery tightly edited. You can check it out here.

The stand alone music video is what we really enjoy creating. We tape stage performances with takes from many different camera positions and dolly paths. The Whiskey Spot's music video is a good example of this technique in use. Check it out here.

We also work with scripted scenes complete with story boards, a script and a shot list. This video from Glutton Mouth, displays some simple scripted concepts while using fairly ellaborate costumes.

This video from The Dead Americans,displays a little more elaborate plot with fast tight editing and a good mix of stage footage.

420 Smoke Out uses video shot at a demonstration laid over a song we had recorded (by ) that narrates the event. The result is an interesting effect. Check it out here.

We work with Final Cut Studio editing software. This includes Sound Track Pro. Motion 3, DVD Studio Pro, Color and Compressor. With these tools we create state of the art edited pieces.

There are many different procedures we use in the production process that are use in different ways for each unique project.
